[ CHARACTER INFORMATION ]
Name: Giroro
Age: unstated in canon, but estimated to be 2000+
Gender: Male
Canon: Keroro Gunsou
Timeline: Part-way through the second movie, during the ah, princess pageant.

Character History:
http://keroro.wikia.com/wiki/Giroro

Character Personality:
Giroro is, at first glance, the perfect soldier and a merciless invader. He does proper re-con, researches the weakness of his enemies before setting his traps. The first time he appears in the series, he tells Keroro that they will kill everyone in the Hinata household and set up their base of operations there.

However, it doesn't take long for people to realize that there's more to him than that. Despite being a soldier, he respects and even feels sympathy for his enemies if they are deserving of it. He won't admit to it openly, instead praising them with often backhanded compliments. His pride as a soldier and a warrior is something he will never compromise. Going as far as camping outside because he refused to live under the same roof as humans.

Even though he's an invader, Giroro is, at heart, a protector. While he's normally a force to be reckoned with, it's when he's trying to protect someone that he becomes really dangerous. No matter what it is, if it's to protect someone he considers worth protecting he will stand up again and again no matter how many times he's beaten down. And he doesn't expect any thanks. Even when he knows he'll be shunned for saving them, he will still do it anyway. Because to do anything less is inconceivable to him.

Besides, he gets embarassed when people thank him (especially women because he gets flustered around them very easily) and he doesn't like admitting that he's really just a big softy on the inside and will deny this until the cows come home.

Of course, if he sees you as an enemy and he has no reason to go easy on you (or if you deserve it) he will take you down without mercy.

Outside of the battlefield...actually, scratch that. Giroro is one of those people who's never really grasped the concept of being off duty. He's an invader and a soldier of the Keron army. He really has no life outside of that.

What he does in his free time? Polishing his weapons.

What are his interests? Invading Pekopon. That's it.

He's also bull-headed to a fault and coupled with that whole 'soldier's pride' thing makes Giroro do a lot of Extremely Dumb Things. Like sitting outside in a heatwave because real men won't be beaten by the heat and if he went to sit in the shade or in a pool it would be like losing. And then he inevitably passes out from heatstroke. His cooking is also unbelievably bad and he'll excuse it by insisting that it's fine because you would be able to stomach this if you're a real man. And he'd eat it all too, just to prove it. He's kind of ridiculous hardcore like that.

Giroro is also incredily guillible. As mentioned before, Giroro is a bit of a softy, and the easiest way to get him to let you go is to feed him some kind of sob story and he will probably fall for it. And once he trusts you, and sometimes even if he doesn't, it's not hard to fool him over and over and over again. And on those occasions when he's not fooled, all you need to do is somehow bring up Hinata Natsumi and he'll fall for it hook, line and sinker.

This will work. Every. Single. Time.

The question of Giroro's temper differs depending on who he's interacting with. There are things that will always trigger an angry response from him, of course. Like being played for a fool and Hinata Natsumi, just to name a few. But in general, he doesn't snap at just anyone. Mostly he's very easily frustrated by his team-mates, especially when they slack off or do stupid things. But whenever his temper is sparked, you can be sure that violence will likely ensue.

Also, while he'll try to judge the best way to take down his enemy, even doing recon before hand if he's able, Giroro will sometimes rush into things without first looking at the big picture.

He's also very competitive, again this ties back to his pride as a soldier. If Giroro ends up losing to a worthy opponent, he can live with it and will even accept it. However, until he's lost he will fight tooth and nail to win. He won't resort to really underhanded tricks, but anything else is fair game. He can get a bit carried away because of this, but if his opponent really is in danger he will probably still help them.

If he doesn't acknowledge you as a worthy opponent, then he'll train and then demand a rematch until he wins.

In some ways Giroro is a mess of contradictions. He really is a Keronian soldier, through and through. And, despite the friends he's made on Earth, is still determined to take it over. He says the people of Earth are his enemies, but he's in love with an Earth girl (Hinata Natsumi. In case you didn't know). He's an invader and a professional soldier but he will reach out a helping hand to a cat stuck in the rain.

But he can reconcile all this.

He accepts all of these as parts of himself and isn't bothered by how contradictory some of them are. Though he is rather embarrassed by some of them so good luck getting him to admit it!

Character Abilities you would like to expand on further:

- Giroro has incredibly good aim, able to achieve a 100% accuracy rate when using firearms
- Being the mobile infantry unit of the Keroro Platoon he knows how to use a variety of weapons (including ranged and melee weapons as well as explosives)
- trap-setting
- He possesses survival skills and is capable of doing basic reconnaissance
- He specializes especially in guerrilla warfare
- Dismantling, reassembling and upkeep of weaponry
- He has unbelievably good hearing
- due to his Keronian body he's pretty resilient against to blunt attacks since Keronian bodies have a high percentage of fat. This does not protect him from being cut, however.
- He also knows how to put on make up

Character Weaknesses you would like to expand on further:

- Hinata Natsumi. The girl Giroro is hopelessly in love with. As soon as Hinata Natsumi comes into the picture, logic goes out the window and Giroro becomes a useless, irrational ball of fail. If he thinks she's in danger he will go to her rescue guns blazing (with rocket launchers, bazookas, rifles, grenades and everything he can carry) without checking if she's really in danger. If she wants the moon he will bloody well get her the moon even if he has to shoot it down. She doesn't even need to ask. There is almost nothing he wouldn't do for her and most of the time he doesn't even want much in return. Usually he's happy if she just says to him, "thank you, Giroro" while smiling. Hinata Natsumi has the ability to turn the normally serious Giroro into anything from a flailing ball of embarrassed flailing to an irrationally protective (and possibly homicidal) defender. And he can't hurt her. He tried once. Had a clear shot of her and everything, and he couldn't pull the trigger.

- He just has a soft spot for women and small children in general, actually. He gets embarrassed when they praise him and unless he has a very, very good reason not to, he'll always help them (even though he'll grumble about it.)

- Since the planet Keron has a higher humidity than Earth, Giroro will dry up easily if he's not careful.

- If you take away the belt he wears across his body he will become useless

- He has a crippling fear of ghosts and fresh sea-cucumber

[ SOUL CAMPAIGN SECTION ]

What abilities will your character retain in Soul Campaign? Bullet-form is fine.
- All of it. None of the listed abilities were things he was born with. They were all things he attained through training.

What weaknesses will your character lose or gain in Soul Campaign? Bullet-form is fine.
- He won't have the rest of his platoon backing him up, so that's one problem.
- He also doesn't have access to his rather impressive arsenal of weaponry he usually keeps on hand.
- There is no Hinata Natsumi in Death City. Which is both a gain and a loss because his desire to protect Natsumi drives Giroro to challenge his limits. If it's for her sake, he will find the strength to stand up again even after he should no longer be able to. If it's to protect her, there's nothing he won't or can't do. On the other hand, without Hinata Natsumi there, he will also not be reduced to a blubbering, blushing useless mess.

The wish Death the Kid made to the BREW in 2009 was to “rescue Death City and stop the waves of Madness from overtaking the world.” By whatever means necessary. Pretend you are the BREW. Why would you choose to bring this character to Death City?
Giroro is strong, dedicated and loyal. As a solider in the Keron Army, he's used to seeing and fighting in wars even if Keronians are usually the invaders instead of the side that's on the defensive. He can't invent new war-machines and you might not want him to be in charge of coming up with more long-term strategies, but he knows how wars are fought, and you can trust him to watch your back.

If your character has difficulty verbally communicating or can’t verbally communicate at all (mute or non-humanoid), elaborate on how this will be treated in the game. (Skip if this doesn’t apply)
As an example, Celty Sturluson from DRRR! doesn’t have a head, and thus can’t speak; however, she can and does communicate via typed text messages. How will your character communicate with others in Soul Campaign?

N/A

[ WEAPON ONLY SECTION ]

Why is your character a Weapon and not a Meister?
Because I have no more Meister slots. Giroro is one of those people who could do well as either a Meister or a Weapon because he understands the value of teamwork and that, even if someone is a higher rank than you, every part of the team matters equally.

However, there are aspects of his personality that makes him ore suited to being a Weapon. For one, Giroro is impulsive. He doesn't always look at the big picture or misses finer details and just rushes in gunsablazing. That's probably not a good trait in a Meister. However, if he was a Weapon, then it's less detrimental as long as his Meister doesn't let him go wild.

What is your character’s Weapon Form? Why?
Demon beam rifle (Nu Gundam version). While Giroro uses a lot of different weapons ranging from bazookas to beam sabers to giant mecha, the beam rifle is his most iconic weapon. It allows for more precision than a bazooka weapons but is also more versatile than weapons like sniper rifles. It's not a very large weapon, making it useful in a combat situation where you need to move quickly. All in all, it's a Weapon Form that suits the way he fights.

What is your character’s Weapon Ability?

When there's decent resonation between Giroro and his Meister, he can lock-on to enemies that produce soul-wavelengths. Once he's locked onto an enemy, the soul-wavelength he shoots out will home in on it. Sort of like heat seeking, except more like soul-seeking. This ability won't work on inanimate things or enemies without souls and he can only lock onto an enemy he can see. Meaning he can't lock onto an enemy he can't perceive. As a note, he can't actually see the soul itself, but he will know if something doesn't have a soul because he will know he can't lock-on to it.

In the beginning, Giroro can only lock onto one enemy at once. Meaning if they shot at five enemies but were locked onto one of them, all the bullets will automatically home onto the enemy that Giroro has locked onto. For every ten souls Giroro consumes the number of enemies he can lock onto at once will increase by one.

[ SOUL INFORMATION ]

Describe your character’s soul with six adjectives.
Serious, proud, dedicated, stubborn, gullible, gentle

What does your character’s soul look like? Be creative.
Giroro's soul usually has a displeased expression on its face, like its perpetually angry. There's a a small skull where his forehead would be since it's his symbol. And his soul is pink. The bright pink commonly associated with Gundam beam weapons. Pink is related to red which is his colour. Besides, what kind of gundam weapon would he be if he didn't shoot out pink soul wavelengths?

[ SAMPLES ]

Provide a First Person style sample in the form of a post to the DEMISE network.
[Giroro looks out from the communicator with his arms crossed and speaking with a no-nonsense tone of voice.]

How many people here had actual combat experience before arriving here?

Also: Keroro, show yourself. [This is not a request.]

Provide a Third Person sample set during the last minutes on their world and/or their first few moments in the Kishin Chamber (http://soul-mods.livejournal.com/5916.html).
Please make this at least three paragraphs. We want to see how well you grasp your character’s voice.

Giroro's plan, after Keroro told them where Natsumi was and who had her, had been 'take all the weapons available to them. Storm the place. Rescue Natsumi.'

When Keroro told him his plan he was even more adamant about taking weapons and storming the place. He was not dressing in drag. No absolutely not. This sounded like one of Keroro's half-baked schemes that won't work and he really didn't want to dress in drag.

But it was for Natsumi.

And Keroro promised him this would definitely work.

And Giroro believed him.

Giroro repeated these facts to himself over and over again as he stepped onto the stage in full Japanese princess regalia and he was going to kill Keroro if this doesn't work.

This was embarrassing, but it was for Natsumi so he would soldier on. Natsumi was counting on them.

Somewhere between his introduction, "I am Giroko. My speciality is being sexy." and that idiot Keroro pulling on his obi, making Giroro spin, Natsumi and her kidnapper arrived on the scene.

He wobbled for a second, the outer layer of his kimono slipping off his shoulder but his eyes were focused. And they were focused on Natsumi.

He gripped the fabric of the kimono with one had as the other reached inside to grip the hilt of the combat knife he kept hidden. He eyed the monsters. So it was four against one. Six if you count the two that almost looked like they could be Keronian if their colour and shape weren't all wrong. The odds were against him but all Giroro could think of was that he had to save Natsumi.

Natsumi...needed him.

He pulled the kimono off with a flourish, to hide the motion of unsheathing the combat knife.

"Natsumi!"

Several things happened at once.

The knife in his hand suddenly disappeared for no reason and he was left gripping thin air.

And Natsumi was gone.

But most importantly, at the same time he'd thrown off the kimono he'd also launched himself at one of the enemies in front of him, aiming to block its weapon and then kick off it to where Natsumi was.

He was now flying at thin air.

Due to a combination of all these, Giroro's battle cry dissolved into a panicked scream before he face planted on the ground. Dimly, he was aware of the sound of his kimono fluttering to the ground behind him.

He lay there for a moment before getting up suddenly, head turning from side to side frantically.

"Natsumi! Natsumi, where are you!?"

But instead of Natsumi or Keroro or even the enemies he was fighting there was a whole room full of people he didn't recognize, but a number of them looked like Pekoponians. It set him on edge.

When the screens suddenly lit up, Giroro's first impulse was to reach for his weapons...which weren't there. Damnit. Where was he? He listened intently to what the red-haired man said even as he was mentally taking note of everything that was missing on his person. Anything that could be used as a weapon was gone. His belt was still here. And so was the tent he'd packed...

A war? Witches? Some kind of eggs?

"Che. Looks like I've been involved in something troublesome."
